About the Role

As a Therapist based in the United States, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals facing emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. Your primary objective will be to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote mental health and well-being.

You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and facilitate progress through various therapeutic modalities.

This role requires a deep understanding of mental health disorders, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to create a safe and trusting environment for clients. Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving clients' quality of life and helping them achieve their personal and emotional goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience providing therapy to diverse populations.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and ethical standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with multicultural populations.
  • Certification in specialized therapeutic approaches or additional training in substance abuse counseling.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams or integrated care settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions using appropriate therapeutic techniques.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to coordinate care.
  • Stay current with developments in therapeutic practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Strong communication skills are essential for building rapport, facilitating sessions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills help in adapting treatment approaches to meet individual client challenges.

Preferred skills such as proficiency in evidence-based therapies and cultural competence enhance the therapist’s ability to serve diverse client populations with sensitivity and effectiveness.

Additionally, technological skills, including familiarity with EHR systems, support efficient documentation and coordination of care.
