Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Lancaster/Lebanon Urgent Care

Qualifications

• vision of a Physician. He/she is responsible for examinations and treatment of patients within his/her scope of practice. He/she is responsible for the fulfillment of all obligations as noted by his/her professional association (Most cases will be NCCPA). SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES 1. Performs examinations and formulates treatment of patients including appropriate history, physical examinations laboratory and other diagnostic testing and referrals as necessary 2. Counsels and educates patients regarding their physical or mental health or delegates such education to a competent source 3. Recognizes complicated medical conditions that require referrals 4. Manages chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure 5. Prescribes medications and other treatments 6. Advises patients on how to prevent disease 7. Refers patients to community resources and agencies 8. Consults with his/her Supervising Physician(s) as necessary 9. Completes forms presented to him/her on behalf of the patients regarding the patients physical or mental condition 10. Completes forms necessary for the proper billing of patients and third-party payers 11. Completes forms necessary for other funding sources POSITION REQUIREMENTS Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Board Certification by NCCPA Minimum of 2 years experience, required.
