About the Role

As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and groups to improve their mental health and overall well-being.

You will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client, helping them navigate life transitions, manage emotional challenges, and develop coping strategies.

Your work will involve assessing clients' mental health status, creating treatment plans, and facilitating individual or group therapy sessions. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients facing crises or behavioral health issues.

Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing clients' quality of life and fostering resilience in diverse populations across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling to diverse populations.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in group therapy facilitation and family therapy settings.
  • Certification or specialized training in anger management or trauma-informed care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with multicultural communities.
  • Additional credentials such as Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities such as psychotherapy, counseling psychology, and behavioral health techniques.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or emotional distress.
  • Facilitate anger management and life transition counseling to help clients develop effective coping mechanisms.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging research in mental health counseling and therapy.

The required skills such as Counseling Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Mental Health Counseling are essential for conducting effective assessments and delivering tailored therapeutic interventions that address clients' emotional and behavioral challenges.

Group Therapy and Family Therapy skills enable the therapist to facilitate sessions that promote healing and communication among multiple participants, enhancing support networks. Crisis Intervention expertise is critical for managing urgent mental health situations, ensuring client safety and stabilization.

Anger Management and Life Transitions counseling skills help clients develop resilience and adaptive coping strategies during difficult periods. Behavioral Health knowledge supports a holistic approach to treatment, integrating psychological, social, and biological factors to optimize client outcomes.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or higher in a mental health field and possess a valid state licensure such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT. Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques are required.
