Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant II - Hospital Internal Medicine

Key Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for comprehensive patient care within hospital internal medicine, including obtaining history, performing exams, ordering diagnostics, formulating impressions, and developing treatment plans. This role also involves monitoring therapy effectiveness, providing patient education, making referrals, prescribing medication, and performing minor procedures.

Requirements

For Nurse Practitioners, a Master's degree from an accredited school and program, current FL RN and APRN licenses, and relevant certification (FNP, ANP, or ACNP) are required. Physician Assistants must be graduates of an accredited PA program with current NCCPA certification and registration with the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
