What You'll Do
As the newest Optometrist, your typical day will be dynamic and rewarding as you increase access to care by seeing an average of 22 patients, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention and exceptional eye care.
Collaborating with a dedicated team, you'll have the opportunity to recommend great eyewear options to patients, helping them find the perfect fit for their unique needs and style preferences.
In addition to providing excellent patient care, you'll actively contribute to practice growth goals, working towards expanding our reach and impact within the community. This part-time position offers flexibility, with options to work on Thursdays or Saturdays only or both Thursdays and Saturdays.
On Thursdays, a full day of appointments is from 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m., while Saturdays offer a half-day schedule from 8:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m.
The practice leverages the latest technology in the field of optometry, including Topcon KR 800 Auto Kerato-Refractometer, Daytona Optomap, Zeiss iProfiler, Humphrey Matrix Zeiss with Welch Allyn, Lipiscan (Dynamic Meibomian Imager), TopCon EZ 200 (Auto Lens), and iCare, allowing you to provide cutting-edge care and stay at the forefront of advancements.

Typically Has the Following Skills or Abilities
Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
For roles that are remote (i. e., Work From Home (WFH)) or hybrid (i. e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFH), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
