Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides direct patient care, including performing examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing management plans for minor acute illnesses. They also perform therapeutic procedures, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with medical staff and community resources.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master of Science in Nursing or a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies and possess a valid Virginia license or be eligible for one. Additionally, an AHA BLS Provider CPR certification is required at the time of hire.
