Join our team as Speech Language Pathologist in our Rehab Department in Wabasha, MN and be the change you want to see in the world.

About This Role

Join Emplify Health by Gundersen as a Speech Language Pathologist and help patients improve communication, swallowing, and overall function. In this role, you will work with patients and families across Wabasha and surrounding communities, providing individualized evaluation, treatment, and education. Your work supports our mission of empathy amplified by helping people reach their goals with compassion, collaboration, and expert care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients based on individual learning needs and functional goals.
  • Provide education and intervention using task analysis to support optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with a variety of professionals and communicate the value of speech therapy services.
  • Complete documentation according to departmental standards to support patient care and reimbursement.
  • Meet standards of practice according to federal, state, and professional association guidelines.

What's Available

This is a temporary, casual position. Hours will be scheduled/based around inpatient needs.

  • Position anticipated to run from November through February.
  • Flexible schedule, however, must be able meet patient needs in a timely manner.

What You Will Need

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, required.
  • No experience required.
  • Speech Language Pathology license for the state of Minnesota, required.
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification required.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and possess a valid Minnesota state license. Additionally, a current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for this position.
