Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Full-time/Part-time

We are seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide leadership within our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program. This role is central to ensuring that students and families receive high-quality, individualized support and services.

Compensation

Starting pay: $75,000-$87,000 annually, depending on experience. Quarterly incentive options are available.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and lead a team of RBTs, ensuring evidence-based, individualized treatment.
  • Create and oversee individualized ABA treatment plans.
  • Implement interventions such as one-on-one therapy, family treatment, group instruction, and classroom consultation.
  • Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary staff to support progress across environments.
  • Monitor student progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide staff/family training.

Job Summary

The BCBA provides leadership within the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program at Sunshine School & Development Center. This position is responsible for ensuring that the ABA program is grounded in our mission and driven to provide high quality services to our students.

The BCBA is responsible for overseeing RBTs and ABA treatment for students on their caseload. They will provide support to our families and staff to increase knowledge and skills to better support students.

It is essential that they demonstrate professionalism, a respect for confidentiality and a commitment to the agency's mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervision/Leadership a. Participate in hiring and training RBT staff to ensure high quality services. b. Lead a team of RBTs in providing evidence based, individualized treatment.

2. Screenings and Assessments

1. Screen incoming referrals and current students to determine program eligibility.

2. Complete comprehensive evaluations

3. Collaborate with students’ families to recommend interventions needed and next steps.

3. Therapy a. Create individualized treatment plans for students who qualify. b. Oversee evidence-based ABA treatment implementation. c. Provide appropriate interventions for qualifying students, such as:

  • Family treatment
  • Individual treatment
  • Group instruction
  • Classroom consultation

d. Design and implement data collection techniques and procedures. e. Monitor qualifying children’s progress and make modifications as needed to facilitate progress.

3. Consultation & Training

a. Collaborate with the students’ teams to provide clinical recommendations for Individual Treatment Plans. b. Consult with families and other staff to generalize skills across environments.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide training and education for key staff and families.

2. Meet regularly with manager and other key staff as needed.

3. Provide input on the program direction to meet mission and financial objectives.

4. Track, monitor, and report on the ABA program impact to key staff, as assigned.

5. Assist manager in conducting a program evaluation.

6. Complete a minimum of 15 hours of continuing education yearly based upon an individual staff development plan updated annually and professional licensing requirements.

7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Credentialed with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

2. Experience leading and supervising RBTs and exam candidates.

3. Experience working with preschool-aged children

4. Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families, preferred.

5. Experience utilizing screening and assessment tools to ascertain client needs and identify appropriate interventions.

6. Experience with program implementation and evaluation.

7. Experience working on interdisciplinary teams is preferred.

8. Essential physical and mental requirements to perform the duties of this position include:

Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time. Regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

9. Background clearance from the Arkansas State Police.

10. Meet agency’s drug screening requirements.

11. Background clearance from the Central Registries for Child and Adult Abuse and Maltreatment.
