Key Responsibilities

  • As part of an academic department, the position also includes opportunities to engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will practice primarily at two locations, with approximately 60% of clinical effort based at Thomas Memorial Hospital and 40% at Jackson General Hospital.
  • This position offers a unique opportunity to build a rewarding community-based practice while remaining connected to the resources and collaboration of an academic health system.
  • The successful candidate will provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care, including the diagnosis and management of both malignant and benign hematologic conditions.

Licensure & Certifications

Must hold an MD or DO degree, have completed an internal medicine residency and a hematology/oncology fellowship, and be board certified or eligible. Eligibility for a state medical license is required.
