Respiratory therapists partner closely with nurses, physicians, and specialists to make a real impact every day while practicing at the top of your license.
In this role, you will assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions, perform advanced cardiopulmonary evaluations, deliver lifesaving therapies, manage ventilators and airways, and respond to critical situations.
This position provides the opportunity to learn from world renowned leading experts in respiratory care and offers a high level of autonomy in patient care and clinical decision making.
You will be part of an innovative team that is shaping the future of respiratory care while playing a key role in patient education and care coordination.
A caregiver in this position works full-time, nights, 6pm-6:30am, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
A Caregiver Who Excels in This Role Will
- Provide assessment, treatment, care and evaluation to patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
- Direct respiratory caregivers for delivery of care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Assess patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop, implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Perform advanced respiratory care modalities, evaluate respiratory practice, administer medications and treatments, and perform blood gas puncture and analysis.
Educate patients and families about the illness and provide information about community support groups and other programs.
- Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross
- Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Prior experience in critical care
- Bachelor’s Degree
Physical Requirements
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.
- May require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Key Responsibilities
The Registered Respiratory Therapist will assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions, manage ventilators, and perform advanced cardiopulmonary evaluations. Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold RRT certification from the NBRC. Additionally, Ohio RCP licensure and BLS certification are required for this role.
