Key Responsibilities
The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients requiring speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-linguistic therapy within an interdisciplinary team. They are also responsible for documenting patient care, participating in performance improvement programs, and supervising students or interns.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the relevant state and possess an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency or be eligible to obtain one. Additionally, the role requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving patients using specialized equipment.
