Occupational Therapist – ST. PAUL Elder Services
- Location: Kaukauna, WI
- Position: Occupational Therapist
- Status: Full-Time
- Pay Range: $38.00–$51.50 per hour
- Reports To: Director of Therapy Services
Position Summary
St. Paul Elder Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered therapy services to residents. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled therapy, and monitor progress to help residents achieve meaningful functional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services based on patient needs and current best practices.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate residents, families, caregivers, and staff on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with nursing, physicians, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Participate in care conferences, staff meetings, quality improvement activities, and required training.
- Supervise and appropriately delegate tasks to support personnel within professional guidelines.
- Promote resident safety, rights, dignity, and independence.
- Follow infection control, safety, emergency preparedness, and organizational policies.
- Maintain professional standards and participate in ongoing education and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current NBCOT certification.
- Valid Wisconsin Occupational Therapist license.
- Strong communication, organization, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to use computers and medical equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
