Occupational Therapist – HAND Specialty

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy to join our growing orthopedic rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who enjoys working closely with orthopedic physicians and patients while helping individuals regain strength, mobility, function, and independence.
What You’LL Do
- Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic and upper-extremity conditions, including hand, wrist, elbow, and forearm injuries.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, functional goals, and physician recommendations.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and function.
- Treat patients following orthopedic and hand surgeries, injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions.
- Fabricate and modify custom and/or prefabricated splints and orthoses as appropriate.
- Provide patient education on home exercise programs, precautions, positioning, and injury prevention.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, physician assistants, and other members of the care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and practice standards.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while creating a positive experience for every patient.
What We’RE Looking For
- Current Florida Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Experience in hand therapy, upper-extremity rehabilitation, or orthopedic outpatient care strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment-planning, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a physician-led orthopedic environment.
- A patient-centered approach with a genuine desire to help patients achieve their goals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence.
- CHT certification or pursuit of CHT certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with upper-extremity conditions, developing individualized plans to improve strength and function. They will also fabricate custom splints and collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians and the rehabilitation team.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current Florida Occupational Therapist license and have graduated from an accredited program. Experience in hand therapy or orthopedic outpatient care is strongly preferred, and CHT certification is considered a plus.
