The Respiratory Therapist evaluates, treats, and cares for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders under the direction of a physician. They are responsible for developing treatment plans, educating patients and families, and performing bedside respiratory care.
Candidates must hold an Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a certificate of completion and possess a Registered Respiratory Therapist license for the State of Florida. Additionally, applicants are required to have BLS certification and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within six months of hire.
