- Department: Respiratory Care Pediatrics
- Schedule: Night Shift | Full-time
- Sign-on Bonus: $10,000.00
- How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
- Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.
- What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Previous pediatric experience.

Key Responsibilities
Assess patients to develop and implement respiratory care plans while monitoring conditions and administering treatments. Provide patient and family education and participate in emergency resuscitation team codes.
Requirements
Requires a Florida Board of Respiratory Care credential and BLS certification. Candidates must have a high school diploma with 2 years of experience, an associate/technical degree, or 4 years of relevant experience, with a preference for pediatric background.
