Job Description
Position Summary
The Senior Director of Physician Networking & Growth leads physician growth, engagement, and network development strategies within an assigned region of the Cancer Center of South Florida (CCSF).
This role oversees regional physician recruitment and integration efforts in partnership with Human Resources and other key stakeholders, leads the regional Growth Committee, and develops strategies to strengthen physician relationships, expand referral networks, and support programmatic and market growth.
The Senior Director collaborates with clinical, operational, and enterprise leaders to ensure regional growth initiatives align with CCSF priorities.
Core Essential Responsibilities
Develops and executes regional strategies to grow physician networks, strengthen physician engagement and referral relationships, and support program and market growth within the assigned region.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with employed, affiliated, community, and referring physicians to increase engagement, collaboration, referrals, and awareness of CCSF programs and services.
Identifies opportunities to strengthen referral relationships and improve referral pathways, working with clinical and operational leaders to address barriers related to access, communication, and coordination.
Uses physician, referral, volume, market, and engagement data to identify growth opportunities, establish priorities, measure results, and adjust regional growth strategies as needed.
Leads the regional Growth Committee, establishing priorities, measurable goals, and accountability for growth initiatives and monitoring progress toward established objectives.
Provides regional oversight and coordination of physician recruitment and new physician transition activities in partnership with Human Resources, physician recruitment, clinical leadership, operations, and other responsible departments. Helps ensure newly recruited physicians are connected with the appropriate teams, leaders, and resources.
Facilitates collaboration among physicians, clinical programs, and operational leaders to strengthen physician engagement, support multidisciplinary programs, and advance regional growth priorities.
Collaborates with clinical and executive leadership, operations, strategy, marketing and communications, Human Resources, physician recruitment, and other enterprise partners to coordinate regional physician growth and engagement initiatives.
Requirements
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or related field preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in healthcare strategy, planning, business development, or oncology program management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Hospital Service Line administration or similar experience preferred
Required Certificates, License or Registration
Certified Professional in Healthcare Management (CPHM) preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of oncology service line operations, trends, and growth strategies.
- Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics, strategic planning, and business development.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, cancer program accreditation standards, and payer reimbursement models.
Demonstrated ability of strong quantitative analysis, financial modeling, strategic planning, and business plan development skills.
Ability to analyze and synthesize large amount of data into salient points, draw conclusions, and present recommendations to a variety of audiences (i. e., operational leaders, administrative leaders, physicians).
Analytical, critical, creative, and problem-solving attitude approach and skills are essential and core requirements.
Proficient in using Microsoft applications
