Get to Know Your Team

UT Health Carthage, located in Panola County, boasts 23 private patient rooms. The hospital also features a 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke-ready facility with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, GI lab, outpatient clinics, and a sleep lab.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems. Job duties and responsibilities are related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of a COARC-accredited respiratory care program.
  • Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
