About This Role.

As a PRN Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you'll work with a team of 2 board-certified CT surgeons, that puts patients first! You'll have the opportunity to collaborate and work alongside 11 cardiologists with 4 interventional cardiologists and 1 EP specialist (with a second EP coming), and 3 vascular surgeons. The practice provides full spectrum care that prides itself on high-quality patient experiences.

You would practice at Intermountain Health: St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana.

  • You would be joining a well-respected, established group of Heart & Vascular providers.
  • Extended program includes 4 experienced surgical PA's who provide support in the OR, hospital, and ambulatory clinic.
  • The clinic is conveniently located adjacent to the hospital providing easy access.
  • EPIC EMR utilization (system-wide).

The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a Certified Stroke Center, and an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. The OR includes one hybrid and one biplane operating suite.

  • What you’ll bring.
  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
  • Residency or Fellowship trained in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.
  • Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline.
  • Active, unobstructed Montana medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
  • Passion for CT surgery.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert cardiothoracic surgical care as part of an established multidisciplinary team at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Collaborate with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and surgical PAs to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and program growth.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and have completed residency or fellowship training in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery. Applicants must be board certified or eligible and possess an active, unobstructed Montana medical license.
