Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team at Wills Memorial Hospital on a part time basis. The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills. This position offers a competitive pay rate, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation

Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand

Interprets Physician Medication Orders

  • Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties
  • Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner
  • Maintains customer confidentiality at all times
  • Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
  • Exercises sound judgment in decision-making
  • Interacts effectively with diverse individuals
  • Maintains professionalism in all situations
  • Uses time effectively and efficiently

Current pharmacist licensure in Georgia

Schedule Details

Key Responsibilities

The pharmacist is responsible for the evaluation, procurement, and distribution of medications while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. They will interpret physician orders, compound pharmaceuticals, and provide professional consultation to support patient care.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current pharmacist licensure in the state of Georgia. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
