Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team at Beauregard Health Center's Ragley, LA Campus. The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills. This position offers a competitive pay rate, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation
Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand
Interprets Physician Medication Orders
Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties
Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
- Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner
- Maintains customer confidentiality at all times
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
- Exercises sound judgment in decision-making
- Interacts effectively with diverse individuals
- Maintains professionalism in all situations
- Uses time effectively and efficiently
- Takes calls from facility and returns to pharmacy as needed
Position Requirements
- Current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s)
- Experience in retail pharmacy setting preferred
- Experience in Pharmacy Management/ Leadership perferred

Key Responsibilities
The Pharmacist in Charge is responsible for fulfilling all legal and regulatory requirements regarding the procurement and distribution of drugs. They must interpret physician orders, compound medications, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state. Experience in a retail pharmacy setting and pharmacy management or leadership is preferred.
