Pay: $25.00–$36.00 per hour, based on licensure and experience
- Licensed Dental Assistants: $30–$36/hour
- Unlicensed Dental Assistants with required radiology certification: $25–$30/hour

Hopkins Family Dentistry is growing, and we're excited to expand our office hours to better serve our patients!
We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and versatile Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. Whether you're a Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) or an Unlicensed Dental Assistant with the required Minnesota dental radiology certification, we'd love to hear from you!
Our ideal candidate enjoys providing excellent patient care, works well in a team environment, and is willing to lend a hand wherever needed. This position is primarily clinical, with opportunities to assist our front-office team as well.
Schedule
- Tuesdays: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesdays: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Fridays: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Combination of clinical assisting and front-desk support)
We're expanding our patient care hours to include Wednesdays and are looking for someone excited to grow with us!
What You'll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of general dentistry procedures.
- Prepare and turn over treatment rooms.
- Take diagnostic dental radiographs in accordance with Minnesota requirements.
- Follow proper sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visits.
- Support efficient patient flow and daily clinical operations.
- Perform additional clinical duties appropriate to your licensure, training, and qualifications.
Front-Office Support
- Greet and assist patients with check-in and check-out.
- Help answer phones and schedule appointments.
- Assist with patient communications and general administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with our existing team to keep the day running smoothly.
Friday responsibilities may include a combination of clinical and front-desk duties, shared with our existing dental assistant based on the needs of the practice.
What We're Looking For
- Current Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) credential OR eligibility to work as an unlicensed dental assistant with current radiology certification recognized by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
- Strong communication and patient service skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
- Dependability, flexibility, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and assist with front-desk responsibilities.
- Experience with Open Dental is a plus, but not required.
