We are seeking a School Based Behavior Health Technician to join our team. This
position will work in Mt. Union Area School District PA
Earn $17.48 Fulltime 40 hours a week
For our Full-Time hourly Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) role, we offer
regular compensation increases at 6 months and again at 1 year. This position is
a full-time hourly, benefit-eligible roles that includes paid time off, medical
coverage, and other comprehensive benefits.
Position Details
At Merakey, you can make a change in the life of a child using evidence-based
treatments to provide 1:1 direct service in family homes, schools, and community
settings. You will have fun and let your personality shine while applying
individualized treatment.
Responsibilities include
* Implements a behavior modification intervention plan developed by the family,
school and Therapist.
* Intervenes as needed when the child exhibits problem behaviors.
* Interventions may include removing the child from the area, talking with the
child about behaviors, accessing support of parents' procedures and
implementing plan procedures indicated with the child, using the appropriate
intervention technique.
* Maintains records noting progress and problem areas.
* Reports to Therapist on a daily basis.
* Attends training as required.
* Provides treatment services to families including skills training and
education designed to enable families to become actively involved in
treatment.
* Maintains regular communication with families, schools, physicians and other
service providers involved with the children and family.
* Works flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in order to meet the
needs of children and family's caseload. Merakey offers a continuum of care
in behavioral health, integrating services in both community and site-based
settings. These services provide a wide range of recovery focused treatment,
services, and supports for children and adults.

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills
Required
* Must possess a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related
discipline.
* Training and experience with family systems as well as experience working
with children and their families in a clinical setting is preferred.
* Must hold a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and access to a reliable
vehicle.
* This position will work in Huntingdon County at Mount Union Area School
District in Mount Union, PA
Preferred
* Two years’ experience in mental/behavioral health preferred

The Behavioral Health Technician implements behavior modification plans and provides 1:1 direct service to children in schools, homes, and community settings.
