Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Sciences, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients who have a serious mental illness required Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases Must have active Basic Life Support (BLS)CPR certification Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
Key Responsibilities
The Behavioral Health Technician participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning and implements interventions for patients in a correctional setting. They are also responsible for supervising daily activities, maintaining patient records, and managing telepsychiatry appointments.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess at least two years of experience in activities programming for patients with serious mental illness. Additionally, applicants must have active BLS/CPR certification and the ability to pass a background investigation.
