Job Requirements

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
• Licenses: Active, unrestricted Tennessee Medical License; Active DEA registration with Tennessee address

DEA / CDS

• Active DEA registration with Tennessee address (DEA schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5)
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required
• Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO)

Other Qualifications

Previous two years of case logs, documentation of specialty procedure training, Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care at a Level I Trauma Center with 36,000 annual visits.
• Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants).
• Manage acute trauma, medical, surgical, and pediatric emergencies in the ED and Niswonger Children's Hospital.

Participate in cross-credentialing and shared privileges across Johnson City Medical Center, Observation unit, and Children's Hospital.

Maintain compliance with all hospital credentialing and privileging requirements, including immunizations, case logs, and CME.
