Job Description

Northwestern Medicine is actively seeking a full-time BE/BC Pulmonologist to join our growing team in DeKalb, IL, located in the far west suburbs of Chicago.

  • Join a team of 2 Pulmonary physicians and 2 APPs
  • Provide an even split between inpatient consultation and outpatient pulmonary service with opportunities to manage sleep apnea patient (with no critical care duties)
  • Hospital privileges at NM Kishwaukee

The DeKalb County community is a warm and vibrant city, full of suburban sophistication, offering four seasons of recreation, arts and entertainment. Located just 60 miles west of Chicago and within easy reach of O'Hare and Midway Airports.

It is coupled with Northern Illinois University and Kishwaukee Community College. DeKalb County also offers a strong diverse workforce, a great school district and a thriving business community.

Also, less than 30 minutes from the neighboring communities of St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia; The Pride of the Fox Valley Community (Kane County). Key Responsibilities

The physician will provide an even split between inpatient pulmonary consultations and outpatient pulmonary services. Responsibilities also include managing sleep apnea patients within a collaborative team environment.

Licensure & Certifications

Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Pulmonary Medicine. The role requires the ability to obtain hospital privileges at NM Kishwaukee.
