- Perform evaluations and provide high-level care for patients with complex respiratory insufficiencies.
- Analyze patient needs to determine treatment types and frequencies.
- Implement and monitor respiratory equipment and advanced care modalities.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, community resources, and long-term support programs.
- What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure/Certification/Registration
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts required.
Education
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Key Responsibilities
The Registered Respiratory Therapist will perform evaluations and provide high-level care for patients with complex respiratory insufficiencies. They are also responsible for implementing respiratory equipment and educating patients and families on treatment plans and community resources.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a BLS provider certification and be credentialed by the NBRC and the Kansas Board of Healing Arts. Educational requirements include a high school diploma with two years of experience or an associate/technical degree.
