Job Description
CareArc is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we are committed to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to all members of our community.
The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced primary care services for patients across the lifespan, addressing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions. This role works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals, pharmacists, dentists, and support staff to improve health outcomes and ensure comprehensive patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Punctuality and being present are the first essential functions of all jobs at CareArc.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and interpret diagnostic tests and examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in compliance with Kansas licensure requirements.
- Conduct routine wellness visits, preventive exams, and annual physicals.
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding disease prevention, treatment, and self-management.
- Schedule and oversee follow-up care to monitor treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to manage complex and co-morbid conditions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Stay current on healthcare regulations and payer requirements, and participate in evidence-based practices.
- Participate in daily team huddles and organizational quality improvement activities.
- Support community health initiatives and CareArc's mission of improving access to care.
- Orders, performs, and interprets tests and analyzes records, reports, and examinations to diagnose patients' conditions.
- Designs individualized care plans using a variety of treatments.
- Prescribes medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost as legally authorized.
- Educates patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances.
- Serves on committees to promote or maintain community health services or delivery systems.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Kansas
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- DEA registration or ability to obtain
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Two (2) years of clinical experience in family practice preferred
- Experience working with underserved or rural populations
