Make an Impact in Respiratory Care

We’re seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care across hospital settings. This role is ideal for a skilled respiratory professional who is comfortable working independently, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, patients, and families.

Key Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care services to patients throughout the hospital under medical supervision.

Assess patients, deliver ordered respiratory therapies, and evaluate treatment responses.

Respond to codes and emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and provide appropriate interventions.

Perform pulmonary function measurements and blood gas analysis.

Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions and treatment outcomes.

Make sound clinical decisions while working with minimal supervision.

Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and available resources.

Support orientation, in-service education, and supervision of other respiratory care practitioners as assigned.

Maintain respiratory equipment, supplies, medical gas cylinders, and storage areas.

Clean, sterilize, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on respiratory equipment.

Participate in evaluating respiratory care practices based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.

Minimum Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Respiratory Care.

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Current West Virginia Respiratory Care license.

Strong critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and stressful hospital environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications

BLS — obtain within 30 days.

ACLS — obtain within 6 months.

PALS — obtain within 6 months.

NRP — obtain within 6 months.
