Education: Masters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Degree
Experience/Qualifications: Licensure in the State of Florida as APRN/RN or Physcian Assistant, American Heart Assocation BLS Certification for Health Care Provider, ACLS Certification
Demonstrates high quality case management abilities and clinical competency
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, Experience in OR working as a first assist.
Position Summary
The APRN/PA works in collaboration with physicians and other patient care team members, in an active practice to deliver health care services to patients and families. Provides direct patient care.
Performs procedures and prescribes medications under protocol. Provides patient education and counseling. Participates in the marketing, evaluation and growth at JMC.. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
Frequent, prolonged walking, standing, bending and reaching. Pushing, pulling or moving/lifting 50 lbs. of equipment, supplies and patients.
Threshold Requirements
These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis, Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee, TB/PPD Surveillance Program. Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
Key Responsibilities
The APRN/PA provides direct patient care, performs procedures, and prescribes medications in collaboration with physicians. They are also responsible for patient education, counseling, and supporting the growth of the medical center.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Nursing or a Physician Assistant degree and be licensed in the State of Florida. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, with specific experience as a first assist in the OR.
