The Certified Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory care interventions, assesses cardiopulmonary status, and provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients of all ages. They also provide patient education and collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient outcomes.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential. Additional certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required within 120 days of hire.
