This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.
What You'll Do
Manage an assigned caseload of clients receiving substance use and co-occurring mental health services through in-person and, when appropriate, virtual appointments.
Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, clinical interviews, and screening tools to evaluate client needs, strengths, and treatment recommendations.
Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating measurable goals and evidence-based interventions. Provide individual counseling focused on recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, behavior change, and long-term wellness.
Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group counseling sessions that promote recovery, life skills, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and peer support. Monitor client progress toward treatment goals, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain ongoing communication regarding recovery progress.
Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including medical providers, case managers, peer support specialists, and community partners to ensure comprehensive, client-centered care.
Advocate for clients by connecting them with community resources, recovery supports, housing, employment services, and other appropriate referrals. Respond appropriately to client crises by conducting risk assessments, implementing de-escalation techniques, and coordinating emergency interventions when necessary.
Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required records.
Maintain client confidentiality and provide services in accordance with ethical standards, agency policies, and all applicable state and federal regulations. Provide biopsychosocial assessment and case management services as appropriate for children and youth who are ReDiscover clients.
Requirements of the Position Availability to work a full-time schedule, (40-hours a week), Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm. Master’s or Doctorate Degree preferred. Minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma or GED.
Active clinical license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) or active provisional license (PLPC or LMSW) through the State of Missouri is highly preferred. Certification or registration as a Substance Use Disorder Professional by the Missouri Credentialing Board is the minimum licensure/certification requirement.
Appropriate certifications include CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, and other counseling credentials defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board. At least two (2) years clinical experience in a direct service provision in mental health setting. Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance abuse, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, etc.). A valid automobile operator’s license, vehicle and state minimum require automobile coverage is required.
Knowledge of the community resources as well as health and social service systems in the Kansas City metro area and skill in establishing working relationships with community partners preferred.
