$5,000 Sign On Bonus ($1,250 at 3 months of continuous employment, $1,250 at 6 months of continuous employment, $2,500 at 12 months of continuous employment)

Job Description Summary

The primary responsibility of the Behavioral Health Therapist is to provide outpatient behavioral health services to persons of all ages experiencing psychological difficulties in order to help them interact appropriately and develop meaningful relationships within community.

What You'll Do

1. Perform interviews with individuals and/or families to aid in identifying presenting problems, assessing mental status and dangerousness, gathering relevant facts of psychosocial history, and assigning accurate diagnoses (using all five Axes of the current DSM manual) that will help determine the best intervention to help the individual and his or her family achieve stated goals.

2. Provide individual, group, and family therapy to individuals of all ages using person-centered philosophies and best practices in all service delivery.

3. Provides Driving While Impaired services and treatment per DHHS Best Practices Provides intensive SUD treatment Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) for individuals and families with substance use disorder.

4. Provide expertise in assessing psychiatric crises and crisis intervention while working closely with psychiatrists.

5. Maintain necessary medical records in compliance with state, federal, and agency guidelines.

6. Assist individuals and families in meeting other psychosocial needs by referring them to appropriate outside agencies (such as doctors, social services, and Christian Ministries) and providing information needed within the guidelines of confidentiality standards.

7. Provide crisis assessments, stabilization, and service coordination in order to de-escalate crisis and potential crisis situations in an effort to maintain lowest level of care that promotes safety.

8. Provide coverage or back-up for Emergency Services during clinical hours and on-call coverage after hours and on weekends as needed.

9. Maintain licensure as required by licensing board and attend educational trainings/seminars to remain up-to-date on current best practices.

10. Maintain positive working relationships within the communities served, including with individuals, families, staff, monitoring and licensing agencies, organizations, funding resources, and other human service agencies.

11. Be an active participant in the ongoing continuous quality improvement activities of the agency.

12. Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures.

13. Provide clinical consultation as required or requested by other professionals within Monarch to provide ongoing professional development and to process difficult client situations that may arise.

14. Drive and travel to community locations, various agencies, and other outreach destinations as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Human Services and possess two of the following licenses: LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LCAS, or LPA. The role requires the ability to travel to various community locations and outreach destinations as assigned.
