Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice/background; local/drive-in candidates preferred; must acknowledge EMR training requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for hand surgery emergencies (7a-7a).
- Cover emergency department and transfer center calls for hand injuries.
- Manage acute hand injuries and conditions.
- Communicate with referring physicians and coordinate care.
- Document patient encounters and procedures in EPIC EMR.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour call coverage for hand surgery emergencies, including managing acute hand injuries and coordinating care with referring physicians. Document all patient encounters and procedures accurately within the Epic EMR system.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Certified in Surgery of the Hand with an active Colorado medical license and DEA registration. A Hand Surgery fellowship is required, along with a clean malpractice and background history.
