Dental Dispensary Assistant – School of Dentistry (Bellaire Clinic)
UTHealth Houston's School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Dispensary Assistant for the Bellaire Clinic. This role supports daily clinical operations by maintaining dental supplies and equipment, stocking treatment areas, managing inventory, preparing instruments, and ensuring providers have the resources needed to deliver exceptional patient care. UTHealth Houston's School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Dispensary Assistant for the Bellaire Clinic. This role supports daily clinical operations by maintaining dental supplies and equipment, stocking treatment areas, managing inventory, preparing instruments, and ensuring providers have the resources needed to deliver exceptional patient care. Position Key Accountabilities
- Cleans, disinfects, packages and sterilizes dental and surgical instruments.
- Orders and dispenses instruments, dental materials and supplies to students and faculty.
- Sets up sterile instrument trays for surgical procedures.
- Operates ultrasonic cleaners and sterilizers.
- Maintains inventory level and records.
Assists in periodic or annual inventory as required. Maintains security of University property in work areas.
- Ensures proper utilization and compliance with clinic equipment loan policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum Experience
None required 1 year of experience in customer service, central sterilization, receiving, storing, issuing, and accounting for dental materials and property preferred
Physical Requirements
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive
This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094.
