Altura Medical Group is seeking an experienced, personable, and highly motivated Healthcare Physician Relations & Referral Development Specialist to strengthen our relationships with physicians, medical practices, healthcare organizations, and community partners throughout Greater Danbury, Connecticut.
This is a local, in-person position. It is not a remote role. Candidates must currently live within commuting distance of Danbury, Connecticut, and be available for regular local physician-office visits, community meetings, and events.
The right candidate will enjoy getting out into the community, visiting medical offices, meeting healthcare professionals, developing referral relationships, attending local events, and representing Altura Medical Group throughout the Greater Danbury area.
We are looking for someone with professional healthcare outreach, physician relations, referral development, healthcare marketing, or medical business development experience who understands how relationships contribute to the growth of a medical practice.
What You'll Do
Your primary focus will be developing and maintaining professional relationships that increase awareness of Altura Medical Group and strengthen our local referral network.
Responsibilities Include
- Visit physician offices, healthcare practices, and other referral sources throughout Greater Danbury
- Introduce Altura Medical Group and its services to potential referral partners
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, practice managers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations
- Conduct outreach by phone, email, and in-person visits
- Follow up consistently with existing and prospective referral partners
- Identify new referral and partnership opportunities
- Represent Altura at community meetings, healthcare events, and local networking opportunities
- Assist with physician and community outreach campaigns
- Coordinate educational materials and information for referral partners
- Maintain organized records of outreach activities, contacts, and follow-up
- Track referral development and outreach activity
- Help coordinate community education and outreach events
- Support outreach surrounding Altura Medical Group initiatives and events
- Communicate regularly with leadership regarding outreach activity, opportunities, and feedback from the community

You should be comfortable walking into a physician's office, introducing yourself professionally, explaining our services, developing relationships with office staff and providers, and following up consistently.
You should also enjoy identifying opportunities to connect people and organizations with healthcare services that may benefit their patients or communities.
Required Qualifications
- Must currently live within commuting distance of Danbury, Connecticut
- Must be available to work in person and conduct regular local physician-office and community visits
- Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience in healthcare physician relations, referral development, medical business development, healthcare outreach, healthcare marketing, provider relations, or a closely related role
- Experience developing professional relationships within healthcare
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional presence and ability to comfortably represent a medical organization
- Comfortable visiting physician offices and healthcare organizations in person
- Comfortable conducting outreach by phone and email
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Self-directed and able to manage outreach activities independently
- Ability to maintain and track professional contacts and follow-up activities
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle
- Ability and willingness to travel locally throughout Greater Danbury

Schedule: This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week.

This is an in-person, community-based position in Danbury, Connecticut. Applicants must be able to work locally and regularly travel throughout the Greater Danbury area.
