Job Description
- Dentist
- Location: Carlsbad, TX
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Holidays/Weekends: None
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and detail-oriented Dentist to provide high-quality oral healthcare to residents at a Supported Living Center and select community-based individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive, limited, and emergency dental examinations, restorative procedures, simple extractions, crown preparations, and denture cases.
- Collaborate with an anesthesia provider for complete oral rehabilitations involving sedation.
- Develop detailed treatment plans with clear clinical justifications.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, CMS standards, and Texas HHSC regulations.
Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team while exercising sound clinical judgment with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas Dental License.
- Active DEA registration and NPI.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Proficiency in digital dentistry and EHR/EMR systems.
- Completion of required HHSC drug testing, fingerprint-based background check, immunization requirements, and mandatory training.
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
