Key Responsibilities
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and manage medication for children, adolescents, and young adults. This involves collaborating closely with therapists and other professionals to ensure integrated, high-quality care and educating families on treatment options.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program and PMHNP-BC certification, along with at least one year of independent psychiatric experience under licensure. A valid Virginia PMHNP/APRN license, DEA license, and State Prescriptive Authority are mandatory, along with the flexibility to work core after-school hours and weekends.
