Job Requirements
- Board: BC in Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
- Licenses: Active AR NP license, AR DEA/CDS, Prescriptive authority
- DEA / CDS: Active Arkansas DEA/CDS required
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
- Experience: Prior EM experience required; case logs required
Other Qualifications: 2 years of case logs, CME/CEU documentation, supervising physician assignment, immunization compliance
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED.
Perform emergency procedures as needed (e. g., suturing, splinting, etc.).
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary team for patient management.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR.
- Participate in observation unit protocols and patient discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a 32-bed emergency department. Perform emergency procedures and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient care and documentation.
Requirements
Requires board certification as a Nurse Practitioner and an active Arkansas license with DEA/CDS authority. Candidates must have at least 2 years of emergency medicine experience and hold current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
