Job Description

Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – ASLP-IC Compact Opportunity

Work Location: Fully Remote

Are you a dedicated clinician driven to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students? Parallel is actively hiring 3 full-time Virtual Speech-Language Pathologists for an immediate school-based assignment for the 2026–2027 school year.

We are specifically looking for exceptional SLPs residing and licensed in Louisiana, West Virginia, Ohio, or Tennessee to support a growing need for telehealth services in TN. Because OH, WV, and LA are fully active ASLP-IC Compact states, expanding your practice into Tennessee is incredibly fast and affordable. Through the compact, you can bypass the traditional, months-long state endorsement process and secure a Tennessee Compact Privilege in a fraction of the time.

The Compact Advantage

Instant Telehealth Pipeline: Once you secure your Tennessee privilege, we have immediate, flexible telehealth hours ready for you to step into.

A Permanent Asset for Your Career: The compact privilege belongs to you, permanently expanding your professional reach and independence.

  • Assignment at a Glance
  • Role: Fully remote, school-based opportunity supporting middle and high school students
  • Openings: 3 full-time positions available immediately
  • Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday during regular school hours
  • Caseload: Approximately 55 students per SLP (30-minute virtual therapy sessions)

Compensation

This is a 1099 opportunity starting at $52/hour, with compensation provided for both direct and indirect service time. W-2 options may also be available depending on active state licenses, weekly availability, and district needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide student-centered, IEP-aligned virtual speech therapy sessions to middle and high school students.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations leveraging Parallel’s proprietary Clinical Test Library and automated Report Writer.
  • Lead IEP meetings and provide dedicated case management for “Speech Only” students.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary school teams to design, monitor, and refine Individualized Education Programs.

Systematically track session data and student progress, developing detailed, goal-oriented progress reports for each reporting cycle.

Deliver specialized state-specific services, including AAC support, speech screenings, and SLPA supervision as needed.

  • What You’ll Need (Qualifications)
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Active SLP license in TN, OH, WV, or LA (Out-of-state applicants must be eligible for and willing to obtain a Tennessee ASLP-IC Compact Privilege).
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a Tennessee Department of Education (TN DOE) credential.

Minimum of 1 year of full-time school-based experience conducting IEP-directed therapy and evaluations (post-CFY). 2+ years of experience is preferred for case management assignments.

Demonstrated expertise in the IEP process, educational eligibility determinations, and writing comprehensive evaluation reports.

  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation.
  • Availability for 35 hours per week during standard school hours (Monday – Friday).
