Job Description
- Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Three years or more of nursing experience required.
- One to two years of ambulatory and/or triage experience preferred.
- Endocrinology, cardiology or surgery experience preferred.
- Adult ICU/ED experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent team skills.
- Compassionate and caring.
- Accountable and self-directed.
- EPIC experience a plus.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The Ambulatory Triage RN assesses patient conditions and provides clinical direction, education, and disposition recommendations. They coordinate care across the continuum by collaborating with providers and utilizing standardized protocols for medication management and scheduling.
Requirements
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a valid Indiana Registered Nurse license. A minimum of three years of nursing experience is required, with preference given to those with ambulatory, triage, or specialty care backgrounds.
