Position Overview
Join the rehabilitation team at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, providing specialized evaluation, assessment, and treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and fluency disorders.
Delivers patient-centered care that fosters trust and collaboration with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams through skilled clinical judgment, ongoing monitoring, and effective communication.
Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures, to maintain patient safety, privacy, and quality outcomes.
Supports the clinical development of rehabilitation assistants and aides and serves as a clinical instructor and mentor for students during clinical placements.
This per diem opportunity offers flexibility while making a meaningful impact on patient recovery and communication outcomes within a leading acute care environment.

Education
Master's: Graduate of an accredited speech pathology program
Typical Experience
2 years recent relevant experience.
Certification & Licensure
SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist.
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
