We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Clinical Mentor (Assistant Director of Nursing) to help lead our nursing team and support our mission of providing outstanding resident-centered care.

Position Summary

The Assistant Clinical Mentor (ADON) plays a vital leadership role in supporting the overall clinical operations of the community. This position is responsible for assisting with clinical management functions, supervising nursing staff, evaluating employee performance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care that aligns with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and financial objectives.

The Assistant Clinical Mentor serves as a key resource and leader for nursing personnel on assigned units and shifts, providing guidance, coaching, and oversight while promoting quality outcomes and resident satisfaction. This role also serves as the primary backup to the Clinical Mentor (Director of Nursing).

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the management and oversight of daily clinical operations.

* Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff on assigned units and shifts.

* Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.

* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.

* Promote quality resident care, safety, and clinical excellence.

* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve positive resident outcomes.

* Assist with staffing, scheduling, clinical audits, and administrative responsibilities.

* Serve as the Clinical Mentor's designee in their absence.

Qualifications

Education

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

* Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field preferred.

Experience

* Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required.

* At least one (1) year of successful leadership experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing, Nursing Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or similar role preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina.

* Current CPR certification.

* Demonstrated clinical expertise and sound nursing judgment.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
