Job Description

The Social Worker II assesses the patient's psychological situation in order to make recommendations to medical personnel, and provides direct services that ensure the patient's best use of health care services including safe and timely discharges.

Education

Master's Degree Accredited School of Social Work Required

Experience

2 years experience as a Medical Social Worker Preferred

  • Licenses
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Preferred
  • PA Social Worker License Preferred

Key Responsibilities

The Social Worker assesses the psychological needs of OBGYN patients to provide recommendations to medical staff. They also facilitate direct services to ensure patients utilize health care resources effectively and receive safe, timely discharges.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work. Two years of experience as a Medical Social Worker is preferred, along with a PA Social Worker License and CPR certification.
