What You’LL Do

  • Lead the development, organization, and delivery of nursing and supportive services, including resident assessments, care planning, and restorative care in collaboration with therapy providers.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate nursing staff; oversee orientation, annual evaluations, and ongoing education.

  • Oversee quality assurance activities, nursing policies, standards of practice, and action plans; maintain visibility through rounds across shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements and HIPAA privacy standards; partner with HR to verify current nursing licenses.
  • Oversee timely MDS submission, accurate medical records, Medicare documentation, admission reviews, and appropriate level-of-care determinations.
  • Manage departmental budgets, supplies, equipment, and inventory; monitor expenditures and explain budget variances.
  • Communicate significant changes in resident condition to families, physicians, leadership, and appropriate authorities as needed.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage and scheduled Manager on Duty assignments; provide Administrator coverage when necessary.

What We’RE Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Registered Nurse license in Florida.
  • Two years of geriatric nursing experience and/or a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
  • A minimum of two years of nursing administration experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Participation in professional organizations focused on geriatrics preferred; NADONA certification is a plus.
  • Basic computer proficiency and strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Sound judgment, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a commitment to resident-centered care.

Our ideal candidate is an approachable, hands-on nursing leader who builds accountability, supports staff development, and communicates effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
