Job Description

*Highland Hospital is seeking a Per Diem CRNA to join its growing team.  Shifts
may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Some duties include but are not limited to

Working independently as well as within an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model, the
CRNA provides 24/7 specialty anesthesia services to obstetric patients on the
Family Maternity Center.  Provides 24/7 emergency airway services to adult and
neonatal patients at Highland Hospital.

Salary Range

$200.00 an hour

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for
this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s
compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but
not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of
the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements

1. Education: Fulfilled the educational requirements to have an RN License and
CRNA cert
2. Experience: Three (3) years of practical experience as a nurse anesthetist
preferred. Proficiency in general and regional anesthesia required. Proficiency
in difficult airway management required.
3. License/Certification Required:
Current New York State Registered Nurse’s License.
Current Certification for Expanded Role in Nursing (CRNA)
Maintenance of current recertification requirements for Council on
Recertification.
Maintains at least 50 hours of continuing education every year.
Current ACLS certification through American Red Cross or the American Heart
Association.
Yearly completion of difficult airway attestation.
4. Additional Skills: Ability to recognize potential problems and deal with them
accordingly.  Works independently.  Requires only general direction.  Is a team
player.  Works well within a medical care team model.
