Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Mental Health Technician in our Behavioral Health Unit at Baptist Medical Center in Downton Jacksonville. This is a Full Time Nights opportunity. 7:00pm-7:00am
Mental Health Technician, Job Responsibilities
Provides care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Documents observations on assigned patients, Communicates appropriate information regarding patient's condition.
Assists with patient education groups, total milieu supervision, assists with admissions/discharges as assigned.
*CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Experience Requirements
- Less than 1 year Mental Health Technician Experience
- Nursing Assistant Experience
- Corpsman Experience
Education & Credential Requirements
- High School Diploma (required)
- Associate of Science (preferred)

Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma and less than one year of relevant experience in mental health, nursing assistance, or as a corpsman. An Associate of Science degree is preferred, and CPI certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
