• Valid Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia (VA)

Overview

This contract Physical Therapist role offers an opportunity to provide outpatient care focusing on orthopedic and work-related injuries. You will work Monday through Friday with a supportive team, engaging in patient-centered care and collaborating with workplace safety stakeholders. The role includes opportunities for professional development and contributing to health promotion programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Treat orthopedic and work-related injuries primarily in an outpatient setting
• Develop treatment plans based on current physical therapy research, clinical reasoning, and patient values
• Promote direct access to physical therapy services and practice at highest skill level
• Participate in health center and patient care meetings, and maintain thorough documentation and reporting
• Engage in continuing competence activities such as peer review and presentations
• Collaborate with stakeholders including safety officers, ergonomists, and human resources to promote workplace safety
• Support positive behavior change beyond clinical settings
• Assist with injury prevention and health promotion presentations and workshops for onsite employees.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with holiday closures on November 11, 26, and 27. Flexible orientation and training days prior to start date.
