Job Description
Primary Functions
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, is responsible for the operations of the pharmacy including dispensing, scheduling, purchasing, distribution, CQI, regulatory compliance and supervision of pharmacy personnel.
Major Responsibilities
- 1. Performs distribution of pharmaceutical products, ancillary supplies and equipment
- 2. Ensures compliance with CQI program, licensure, and regulatory requirements as they relate to pharmacy
- 3. Assures appropriate clinical monitoring of patients
- 4. Assists in overall inventory control and purchasing
- 5. Assists with pharmacy inventories
- 6. Assist in obtaining/completing billing information and documentation
- 7. Pharmacy CQI indicators
- 8. Prescriptions, pick lists, drug profiles, and other documents as required by law or company
- 9. Ensures pharmacy compliance with HPC’s policies and procedures
- 10. Conducts in-services as required/requested
- 11. Participates in patient safety, quality, and infection control programs as directed
12. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
13. Tracking packages to insure timely delivery

Requirements

The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and possess specific vision abilities for close work and focus adjustment.
