Job Summary
Full-time; Days. REQUIRES: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field AND two (2) years of related working experience in the field of substance abuse counseling, preferably in a clinical setting.
Join our team where you will provide compassionate, client-centered care to individuals and groups affected by substance use disorders.
In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, support families throughout the recovery process, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality care, and the ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation while helping clients achieve meaningful recovery goals.
Job Duties
Functions as primary care manager at all levels of counseling care as needed, providing chemical dependency services to patients and their families in accordance with established policies and professional standards.
- Responsible for carrying out all relevant charting requirements.
- Facilitating group therapy, individual and family therapy.
- Presents educational lectures to patients and family members.
- Coordinates case management responsibilities with outside agencies and coordinate discharge planning.
- Observes all applicable facility policies and procedures.
- Coordinates treatment planning process through the multidisciplinary team.
- Participates in department quality improvement activities.
