Certified School Psychologist (Master’s Level)
Position available immediately
10-month in-person position; Salaried with benefits
Hours: M-F 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time/10 months
Salary commensurate with experience: $62,000 - $67,000
Salaried Position with benefits (medical, dental, vision, 403B, sick/personal time, paid holidays)

Job Description
- The Hagedorn Little Village School, Jack Joel Center for Special Children (littlevillage.org ) located in Seaford, NY, is a school for children with developmental disabilities ranging in age from 2 to 12 years. The CPSE (Committee on Preschool Special Education) evaluations department conducts assessments for children between the ages of 2.5 and 5.5 referred by their local school district. This position will support the CPSE department.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct parent training sessions (optional)
- Conduct social history interviews and classroom observations
- Conduct cognitive and educational evaluations
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments in community preschools
- Provide families with information regarding the CPSE process and the evaluations conducted with their child
- Participate in school district meetings and present the evaluations to the Committee on Preschool Special Education
- An opportunity to co-lead a social skills group with a licensed psychologist
- Possible opportunities to co-lead a sibling group after school hours
Additional Earning Opportunities: Opportunities may be available to work additional hours after the regular workday and/or during the summer session for additional income.
Candidate Will Possess
- Passionate about working with children and families
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and technical skills
- Must possess excellent time management/organizational skills, be able to multitask, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members
- Experience with school districts or CPSE procedures a plus
- Bilingual a plus
Fingerprinting and New York State criminal background check are mandatory
